I have been informed that there is a possibility of a few of the images here being another similar species, that of Desmarestia viridis.

Images of this species were taken on an extremely low tide in front of Penzance Harbour, Penzance, Cornwall. 21.03.11; also washed up on Laminaria at Hayle Towans, Hayle, Cornwall, 06.11.11.
