Species found in the bryozoan Alcyonidium hirsutum, which was found attached to the brown algae Fucus serratus, Saw Wrack, at Carnsew Pool, Hayle, Cornwall, 14.04.18. The surface of the bryozoan was removed with a scalpel and a sample of the algae taken from within the bryozoan.

Specimen found in the bryozoan Alcyonidium hirsutum, which is itself growing on the algae Corallina officinalis, Coral Weed. The bryozoan was found in a sample taken from the wall of an under-boulder pool at Sennen Cove, Cornwall, 25.05.17.

NBN National Biodiversity Network

The National Biodiversity Network or NBN is a charity that supports open source data sharing and recording supporting conservation, science and education. "Why do recorders need open source?". Simply because it supports the core values of wildlife recording and the free use of records and data over a very wide network that includes partners like the Natural History Museum.
