A species usually found high on the uppershore often in small crevices and in association with other marine snails which may include Melarhaphe neritoides, the Small periwinkle; Littorina saxatilis, the Rough periwinkle; and others.

Images of species taken on rocks at the east end of Par Beach, Par, near St. Austell, 16.05.09; and on the uppershore at Sennen Cove, Cornwall, 16.10.11.
