Images of species taken at various locations across Devon and Cornwall. Locations include Devil's Point, Stonehouse, Plymouth, Devon; Spit Point, Par, near St. Austell, Cornwall; and Carnsew Pool, Hayle, Cornwall.

Juveniles found at Long Rock, Penzance, Cornwall. 23.08.13. Juveniles also found at Little London, Marazion, Cornwall, 24.08.13; so it would seem that late summer is the best time to find juveniles, which of course look quite different to adults.

Scientific and European Names:
Trivia monacha, Spotted cowrie, Europaische kaurischnecke, Ongevlekt koffieboontje, Grain de cafe a trois points, Porcelanita.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
