It is not known where this species was found as it was discovered in a holding tank at the Marine Biological Association at Plymouth, Devon. The tank recently held specimens collected from Porthleven, Hannafore and Whitsands, Cornwall, and material from Plymouth, Devon.

This species can be found intertidally, under stones and in coralline pools on the lowershore and below although I doubt it's very common.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
