Specimen above was found in a scrape sample taken from a pontoon at Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall, 13.06.17.

Specimen above approx. 11mm in length was one of eight specimens found accidentally. The species was found as a result of collecting Ciona officinalis at Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall. 07.06.15 and 21.09.15.

The worms were found in scrapings collected in a 99p supermarket kitchen sieve (approx. 1.0mm hole size), on straining the liqueur after the Ciona had been removed. The copepod Pachypygus gibber was being looked for at the time, it was also found.

Thanks go to Dr. Andrew Mackie from the National Museum of Wales for identify this species, which appears to be one of the rarer annelids on this website.
