Specimen above was found in a sample stone and algae washings on an extremely low tide at Long Rock, Penzance, Cornwall, 09.10.18.

This species burrows into the stipes of Alaria esculenta, Dabberlocks (ref. Lincoln). The species has also been found in old holdfasts of Himanthalia elongata, Thongweed (ref. Cédric d'Udekem d'Acoz via social media).
