Snakelocks anemones can be found all over the south-west coastline, on rocks on the lowershore and in rockpools on middleshore. They are usually mauve, green or brown. Photography includes animals found at Wembury, Batten Bay near Plymouth, Devon; Spit Point (Par), Hannafore Point near Looe, Tavis Vor and Skilly, near Mousehole, Cornwall; and the National Marine Aquarium near Plymouth.
