This 13mm dia. specimen was found in 1m depth of water attached to a root of the seagrass, Posidonia oceanica, at Giorgino, Cagliari, Sardinia. 2015.

The species is found in the Mediterranean, the west coast of Africa, the Canary Islands and the Azores. It is a cementing species and it is possible that the species could be found on flotsam in the United Kingdom.
