Small turbellarians observed in the mouth of a Pearlsides, Maurolicus muelleri, a deep water fish that was washed-up at Perranporth, Cornwall. 13.03.14.

A turbellarian parasite of Pearlsides has been ruled out by Professor Jean-Lou Justine, therefore the turbellarian is a species that feeds on organic matter that washes up on beaches, possibly sandy surf beaches like at Perranporth.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
