Images taken at low tide mark in stream east of Newlyn Harbour, Newlyn, Cornwall. 02.08.11.

What we see here certainly confused the author of this site; but the images are indeed of Swan Droppings. Swans live on the coast as well as around inland lakes and ponds, and there are many swans around Newlyn. It would seem that marine algae such as Sea Lettuce and Gut Weed are quite difficult for a swan to digest.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
