A number of female specimens were found in leaf litter under the canopy of a mature Olearia traversii at Praa Sands, Praa, Cornwall, 07.12.16.

This is a probable identification because a male was not found, so the gonadopods have not been checked. The female however does appear to be this species and specimens were found in a 'coastal location' very close to dunes. This species is not known to be a littoral species, but does occur on the coast.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
