Specimen above was found in a scrape sample of fouling taken from a pontoon at Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall. 18.09.18.

This species can be confused with Eualus cranchii. Eualus occultus differs in that it has seven segments to its carpus on pereiopod 2. Eualus cranchii has six segments to its carpus on pereiopod 2.
