Single specimen was found on the strandline at Gwithian, near Hayle, Cornwall. 10.03.16.

The seed has two flat sides, and is approx. 7mm in length, outer raised edge of horseshoe shape ridge of hilum is 2.1-2.2mm dia, the central scar is 1.5-1.6mm dia. The seed has very likely drifted over from the southern states of the USA, Gulf of Mexico or Caribbean. Precisely where will not be known until the seed species is identified.
